Clear at the end of Piedmont Lake is a place called Jim's Island. I've been fishing there for nearly fifty years, and I'm pretty sure it ain't no island, the water is about a foot deep and God knows how much mud is under that. The area is choked with lily pads and cabbage. The muskies will go in there in the spring though, I still haven't figured out why, but I've seen some big ones come out of there.
